West Elm x Debra Folz

This collaboration with West Elm was a great opportunity for us to explore signature sculptural details typical of Debra’s style, while incorporating them into a mass-produced line that aligned with West Elm’s market. As we typically produce local to New England with small shops in a hand-on process, working with West Elm allowed us to open up our production to methods previously outside our scope, as well as reach a lower price point in the market. Despite the change in production methods, Debra’s vision focused on giving a high-end feeling to each piece in the collection, by allowing the material qualities to show up in beautiful and unexpected ways.

The collection consisted of a coffee table, side table, nightstand, three dressers of varying sizes, and a hanging mirror.

As the Assistant Designer, I worked with Deb to model prototypes and produce renderings, while working back and forth with the West Elm design team though conceptualization, prototyping, and production.
